An ‘apology’ from the Human Right Scampaign:
HRC regrets the incidents and offers our apologies to those who were hurt by our actions.
Dated…
Human Rights Campaign Statement on March 27 Events

All that’s missing is the ‘bazinga’.
On a serious note despite today’s date, the next time you see any ‘official’ queer media asking why HRC couldn’t have a gainfully-employed-by-HRC trans person issue the ‘apology’, it will be the first.
On a second serious note despite today’s date:
HRC regrets the incidents and offers our apologies to those who were hurt by our actions.
…should be the next entry on Wikipedia’s ‘non-apology apology’ page, right after ‘we’re sorry if you were offended,’ meaning that, despite today’s date, the ‘apology’ is precisely what HRC intended to say.
That, of course, is a joke…
by HRC on everyone who believes not only that HRC gives a damn about whether trans people live or die but that HRC gives a damn about anyone other than its multi-million-dollar donors and its upper-echelon executroids.
