No One Dared Call ‘The Final Solution’ ‘The Final Solution’ Until It Was Well Underway

With that in mind, I offer up a Tweet thread by Brynn Tannehill about what is going on under our noses while those who should care are going wall-to-wall about Joe Biden’s nose.

BT-20090402-01BT-20090402-02BT-20090402-03BT-20090402-04BT-20090402-05BT-20090402-06

Twenty years ago I asserted that if Gay, Inc. did not then and there substantively include trans people and demand that Barney Frank modify ENDA to include trans people that there would be no federal anti-discrimination legislation in my working lifetime.

Of course there was no chance for trans-inclusive ENDA to pass in 1999 – though not because trans people were ‘too much too soon’.  We all know – and knew – the reason why: Because there also was no chance for Barney Frank’s and HRC’s gay-only ENDA to pass in 1999.

Barney Frank and HRC knew what game they were playing back then – and it was NOT ‘incremental progress.’

For I also asserted twenty years ago that the same people within the same Gay, Inc. organizations that were then systematically excluding us from consideration from gainful employment within said organizations and who were not merely speaking ‘incremental progress’-speak on ENDA but who were actively working against trans equality (while cashing paychecks funded by donations intended to support civil rights) were setting the stage – some unwittingly but some very purposely – for the extermination of trans people.

I was pish-poshed on all of those points by LGBs who either lived in jurisdictions that protected their jobs or who had jobs with entities with non-discrimination policies – gay-only non-discrimination policies of course.

I was also pish-poshed on all of those points by that certain rare brand of trans person – the handful who either had already sold out the community in favor of gay marriage (for some reason I’m looking west as I type) or who was in the process of selling out the community in favor of some combination of good, old-fashioned money and the aspiration of being to HRC what Samuel L. Jackson’s character was to Leonardo Di Caprio’s in Django Unchained (and for some reason I felt the need to look east while typing that.)

We’re all going up against the wall now – and I do mean all: Ts as well as LGBs.

The only thing I care about now is holding out long enough to see some, if not all, of those who thought that they could cash out by forcefully putting their boots on our necks to gain personal financial traction enjoy the wall before I do.

Is it a far, far better thing I do today than I’ve ever done before?

No.

But none of you ever cared about the better things that we were capable of.  All you ever cared about was convincing yourselves that you were not merely better than the christianist right, but also better than us.

As Negan recently said: “No one ever thinks that they’re the evil one.”

It takes the victims of that evil to point it out.

I won’t stop pointing it out until I actually am up against that wall.

Conservatives Are Really, Really, Really Upset That People Have Noticed That Lisa Littman’s Anti-Trans Propaganda Is Just The Latest Generation of Trans-Exterminationist Junk Science

From Think Progress:

Opponents of LGBTQ equality are in a tizzy this week, claiming Brown University is “censoring” a study about transgender kids. That research, however, is pure junk science designed to make parents feel justified in rejecting their children’s gender identity.

There is nothing that distinguishes ROGD [rapid onset gender dysphoria, so-called] from the diagnostic criteria that already exists for gender dysphoria in children except parents’ perception that it has come about quite suddenly. Not coincidentally, it is only parents who wish to disabuse their children of the possibility that they are transgender who have observed ROGD and insist upon its validity.

One might think that a researcher looking to understand or substantiate ROGD would actually find ways to work directly with the children who supposedly experienced it to document their experiences. Or perhaps one could simply reach out to a large swath of families with transgender kids to try to assess what distinguished supposed cases of ROGD from others. But [Lisa] Littman did none of that. All she did was anonymously survey parents from the exact same anti-trans online parent groups that invented the concept (4thwavenow.com, Transgendertrend.com, and Youth YouthTransCriticalProfessionals.org), codifying their totally bogus myth in the guise of a scientific study.

Doubtlessly, TERFs, Alice Dreger and Michael Bailey (as if there is any real daylight between all of them and other right-wing conservatives) are in a tizzy as well.

And lets not forget the neo-Bailey herself:

PLOS One and Brown have backed away from her study, [but] Littman has stood by it. She has insisted that it’s a “descriptive study” consistent with other such studies that are “a first description of a new condition or population.”

I guess “descriptive study” is the latest euphemism that will allow someone clothed in the raiments of academic tenure that trans women are never considered for no matter our qualifications to get away with describing a handful of anecdotes derived from a few trips to Chicago-area drag bars as “The Science of Gender-Bending and Transsexualism.”

Lisa Littman: The Woman Who Would be Michael Bailey.

She Keeps Using That Word

“Hate”

ADMF

I do not think it means what she thinks it means.

But I am sure that it does not mean “conclusively disproving an immoral defense of a fraudulent hunk of pseudoscience that an LGB(T) ‘literary’ clique attempted to bestow an award upon, either without reading or without caring about the indefensibility thereof.’

Reality’s Middle Finger

Just now posted on Facebook by Andrea James:

Via Lambda Literary:

“After thoughtful, serious, and full consideration, Lambda Literary has rescinded the nomination of Galileo’s Middle Finger: Heretics, Activists, and the Search for Justice in Science from the LGBT Nonfiction category of the 2016 Lammys.

The nomination process did not include full vetting of all works to be certain that each work is consistent with the mission of affirming LGBTQ lives.

Lambda Literary will strive to improve the nomination process and work to maintain the highest standards in the awards nominations, recognizing literature that contributes to the preservation and affirmation of LGBTQ culture, and which honors LGBTQ lives.”

The Continuing Saga of The Dredge

DannyRyan

Not to Say I Told You So, But…

NotToSayI bring this up because of the other event that happened in 2007 – namely The Dredge’s attempt to defend Michael Bailey’s conclusively – and repeatedly – disproven ‘science’ fraud (d/b/a The Man Who Would be Queen).  I’ve always thought it more than a bit curious that that happened right as the trans community found itself having to deal with the fraud perpetrated against it by HRC president Joe Solmonese at Southern Comfort (and, of course, the ensuing ENDA debacle.)

Well, The Dredge is at it again.

So, Gay, Inc., must be up to no good off camera.

ENDA is dead for the duration of the Obama presidency (unlike in 2007 when trans people were thrown under the bus, from 2009-present its all LGBTs whose economic and social needs are not solved by gay marriage being thrown under the bus), so, that’s likely not what our attention is being diverted from.

Might the internet be currently being even more thoroughly scrubbed of any residue of the leaked internal report which proved just how toxic the transmisogyny was at HRC even under Chad Griffin, who was at least able to give what seemed, at least on the surface, to be a heartfelt speech at Southern Comfort in 2014 (begging a question never, of course, asked by gay media: How bad must it have been under Solmonese? Or Birch?)?  Perhaps the two of the oodles of trans people whose employment at HRC were trumpeted by Griffin last year – but who are no longer working there – know.

I Guess I Missed the Dictionary in Which “Fraudmonger” is a Definition of “Star”

From the Chronicle of Higher Education:

Star Scholar Resigns From Northwestern, Saying It Doesn’t Respect Academic Freedom

Alice Dreger doesn’t usually pull punches. So it’s no surprise that her resignation letter is more, shall we say, direct than the average two weeks’ notice.

Ms. Dreger resigned this week from Northwestern University, where she was a clinical professor of medical humanities and bioethics, a nontenured gig she’d had for the past decade.

Which, based on her ongoing, obnoxious, fact-averse defense of the indefensible (read: Michael Bailey) was a decade too long.

Countdown to The Dredge becoming the in-house ‘expert’ on trans issues for Fox ‘News’ in 3…2…1….

How to Make Me Author a Post Fully and Completely Supporting Caitlyn Jenner?

Give proven liar and con-artist Michael Bailey a platform to attempt to re-animate ‘autogynephilia.’

Michael Bailey is professor of psychology at Northwestern University and one of the more prolific sex researchers in the world. He kindly accepted my invitation to discuss autogynephilia in light of Caitlyn Jenner’s transition.

Who is “He”?

He’s Warren Throckmorton – and he doesn’t bother telling his readers that Michael Bailey (and his publisher) should have been prosecuted for fraud by labeling The Man Who Would be Queen as ‘science.’

He’s Warren Throckmorton – and he doesn’t bother telling his readers that Michael Bailey’s fraudulent ‘science’ was based on hanging around Chicago drag bars and informally interviewing a grand total of seven women.

He’s Warren Throckmorton – and he doesn’t bother telling his readers that Michael Bailey’s other ‘subject’ in The Man Who Would be Queen didn’t exist.

He’s Warren Throckmorton – and he doesn’t bother telling his readers how Michael Bailey mysteriously ceased being chair of the Northwestern University psychology department in the aftermath of The Man Who Would be Queen being conclusively debunked.

He’s Warren Throckmorton – and he doesn’t bother telling his readers that the career that Alice Dreger has manufactured for herself over the last decade of claiming that Bailey has not been proven to be a fraud is even more of a fraud than Bailey’s career.

WT: Why is there so little media coverage of the autogynephilia angle?
MB: I think it’s a mixture of ignorance, political correctness, and fear. Most journalists know what they know from the media and from transgender activists — who do not mention autogynephilia

Well, real media doesn’t mention it for the same reason it doesn’t mention flat-earth ‘science’ and eugenics.

And transgender activists do mention it – but we simply point out that its been conclusively proven to be as fraudulent as, well, flat-earth ‘science’ and eugenics.

Oh yeh…

Caitlyn Jenner…

I fully and completely support her.

Life is So Easy For Self-Declared ‘Ethicists’

No responsibilities and…

well, lets just stick with that: No responsibility, no responsibility at all.

From Cristan Williams at TransAdvocate who, apparently, with a handful of phone calls, does more actual journalism than the Toronto Star does in, well, who knows how long:

On Saturday, the Toronto Star’s “ethics” journalist, Ken Gallinger, unquestioningly published the incredible claim that an elderly Toronto women was hit on in the YMCA women’s locker room by a male-bodied individual who was walking around the women’s locker room fully nude, replete with erection.

The claim is a hoax. We can add this fake incident to the growing list of other fake incidents:

How do we know that the Toronto ‘incident’ didn’t happen?

First:

When Autumn Sandeen wrote Gallinger about the article, Gallinger claimed no journalistic duty to fact check any claim saying, “It is, of course, not possible for me to substantiate most of the stories I’m told, and frankly I don’t try — my general policy is to deal with issues as they are presented…” To seemingly make the case that he wasn’t entirely derelict in his journalistic duties, Gallinger claimed that he did at least check to make sure “that the e-mail address from which it came was valid.” What Gallinger utterly failed to do, was pick up the phone and simply call the YMCA to verify any aspect of this anonymous story.

No journalistic duty to fact check any claim?

Who does Gallinger think he is?  The JohnThe Bil?

Clearly he’s not Cristan, because…

Since Gallinger wasn’t willing to fact check any of these claims, I contacted every Toronto YMCA with a pool and guess what?

No complaint or even rumor of anything like this exists in Toronto area YMCAs. Every Toronto area YMCA was shocked to learn that an unsubstantiated claim like this was propagated by the Toronto Star. Every Toronto area YMCA confirmed that nobody had made any complaint concerning anything even remotely similar to the claim made in the Toronto Star.

Cristan has posted audio and transcripts thereof.

Forward to your favorite christianist-lovin’ TERFs (Or is it TERF-lovin’ christianists?  Its so hard to tell these days), so they can get their stories straight (pun intended) next time they decide to commit group libel against trans people.

Countdown to Homophobe Elisa Chan Being Crowned the New Radphlegm Heroine in 3…2…1….

From the San Antonio Express-News:

Former District 3 Councilwoman Leticia Ozuna is calling for the resignation of District 9 Councilwoman Elisa Chan, who was captured making disparaging remarks about the LGBT community in a secret recording of a May staff meeting.

Chan and aides were strategizing how to oppose a pending update to the city’s nondiscrimination ordinance, which would add protections for sexual orientation and gender identity. Former Chan aide James Stevens released the recording to the San Antonio Express-News last week.

In the recording, Chan discusses Ozuna’s family life. Ozuna, who lost re-election in May, is married to Sophia Parafina, a transgender woman; they have two children.

The Express-News had previously withheld that portion of the recording to protect Ozuna’s privacy. Ozuna agreed this week to address the portion regarding her family.

“I am terribly saddened to learn that me and my family were used as subjects of ridicule and criticism by Elisa Chan and her staff,” Ozuna said in a statement.

More details:

Brian Chasnoff, the Express-News reporter who published the original audio, now reports.

“That lady was born a man. So that marriage is still valid in the state of Texas,” one of Chan’s aides says in the new audio.

“So what kind of marriage is that?,” Chan responds during the meeting in her San Antonio, Texas city council office.

And now, in accurately summarizing Elisa Chan’s post-exposure gameplan, longtime Express-News columnist Rick Casey provides irrefutable proof that Chan – homophobia in tow – will be welcomed with open arms by trans-exterminationist radphlegm lesbians (if she hasn’t been already):

At her news conference, for which her staff recruited a crowd of supporters, Chan read from a prepared statement: “I stand strong in my First Amendment right to freedom of speech and our right to privacy. As an immigrant, I consider this the greatest privilege of being a U.S. citizen.”

It’s a common play-the-martyr tactic. Suggest that people who are appalled by your utterings are violating your rights by trying to shut you up.

Late-70s San Francisco had the  Castro Clone male.

Trans-exterminationist radphlegmery has the Bailey-Dreger Clone martyr.

Should it ever be revealed that Chan’s statement at that news conference was actually written for her by Michael Bailey, er…, Alice Dreger, er… Julie Burchill, er…, Victoria Brownworth, er………………..

I know, I know….

“When,” not “if”….
