Emphasis on the ‘dum’.

Based on your behavior toward us in 2007, I thought it was the job of trans people to sit on our butts – as far away from Congress as possible – and just wait for D.C.-based, non-trans white gay guys such as yourself to start liking us enough to begin thinking about including us in ‘your’ ENDA.

DC-Based, Non-Trans White Gay Guy Who Thinks No Gays Have Ever Gotten Rich Off of (Trans-Erasive) Gay Activism Gaysplains How African-American Trans Woman Janet Mock is Just Too Uppity for Polite Company

From, of course, The John:

Decide for yourself whether The John should be vilified for having his site set up to where a paid ad like that could (even if randomly) end up overshadowing an image of Janet Mock (or anyone else for that matter.)

I just watched Morgan’s 15-minute interview with Mock, which I’ve posted below, and it was easily the most pro-transgender interview that I’ve ever seen.

Well, I’m sure he considers AmericaBlog to be pro-transgender as well – so we know what The John’s expert opinion is worth.

Naturally, The John’s Bleech Chorus of we-who-know-how-things-must-be-because-we-say-we’re-the-ones-who-know-how-things-must-be was all orgasmic at the thought of being able to fill up another comments section at The John’s site with gems such as this one:

Not sure what there is to see here other than she’s trying to sensationalize herself and sell books.

Because no non-trans gay man or lesbian has eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever done that, eh?

Life is So Easy For Self-Declared ‘Ethicists’

No responsibilities and…

well, lets just stick with that: No responsibility, no responsibility at all.

From Cristan Williams at TransAdvocate who, apparently, with a handful of phone calls, does more actual journalism than the Toronto Star does in, well, who knows how long:

On Saturday, the Toronto Star’s “ethics” journalist, Ken Gallinger, unquestioningly published the incredible claim that an elderly Toronto women was hit on in the YMCA women’s locker room by a male-bodied individual who was walking around the women’s locker room fully nude, replete with erection.

The claim is a hoax. We can add this fake incident to the growing list of other fake incidents:

How do we know that the Toronto ‘incident’ didn’t happen?

When Autumn Sandeen wrote Gallinger about the article, Gallinger claimed no journalistic duty to fact check any claim saying, “It is, of course, not possible for me to substantiate most of the stories I’m told, and frankly I don’t try — my general policy is to deal with issues as they are presented…” To seemingly make the case that he wasn’t entirely derelict in his journalistic duties, Gallinger claimed that he did at least check to make sure “that the e-mail address from which it came was valid.” What Gallinger utterly failed to do, was pick up the phone and simply call the YMCA to verify any aspect of this anonymous story.

No journalistic duty to fact check any claim?

Who does Gallinger think he is?  The JohnThe Bil?

Clearly he’s not Cristan, because…

Since Gallinger wasn’t willing to fact check any of these claims, I contacted every Toronto YMCA with a pool and guess what?

No complaint or even rumor of anything like this exists in Toronto area YMCAs. Every Toronto area YMCA was shocked to learn that an unsubstantiated claim like this was propagated by the Toronto Star. Every Toronto area YMCA confirmed that nobody had made any complaint concerning anything even remotely similar to the claim made in the Toronto Star.

Cristan has posted audio and transcripts thereof.

Forward to your favorite christianist-lovin’ TERFs (Or is it TERF-lovin’ christianists?  Its so hard to tell these days), so they can get their stories straight (pun intended) next time they decide to commit group libel against trans people.

Yeh, I’ll Go There

The John – on the Vikings:

Former Minnesota Vikings football player Chris Kluwe claims that he was let go from the Vikings because he is pro-gay.

Kluwe is himself straight, but has been outspoken in his defense of gay rights in general, and marriage equality in particular.

In a blockbuster op ed, Kluwe alleges ramptant homophobia among the Vikings coaches, including one coach who allegedly said gays should be rounded up and mass-murdered.  Kluwe adds that the Minnesota Vikings’ owner was supportive of him, but it clearly didn’t save him his job.  When push came to shove, Kluwe was fired – where was the owner then?

When push comes to shove, where are all of the allegedly trans-supportive employees and BoD members of Gay, Inc. tentacles when it comes to not discriminating against trans people – particularly trans women – in the employment practices of said Gay, Inc. tentacles?

Among the examples of homophobia that Kluwe alleges, he says he was told by head coach Leslie Frazier that he “needed to be quiet, and stop speaking out on this stuff” – referring to gay civil rights.

You mean like trans people are told that we “need[] to be quiet, and stop speaking out on this stuff” – referring to substantive, non-incremental inclusion of trans people and issues?

You know…

Like you did in 2007?

In all Fairness…

From The John:

Jimmy Kimmel got a real sign language interpreter to translate, and put into words, what the fake sign interpreter was actually saying at Nelson Mandela’s funeral.

Here’s some of the translation – I love this:

“Hello, welcome so far. Well cigarette join, bringing in different to you – a circle – and I would like to pray this offering, basically this is fun, all of these balls, to prove this is good, I’m sorry.”

He must be the guy who put together the English subtitles on my bootleg Lupin III DVDs.

On the other hand…

That does actually make more sense than pretty much anything ever to pass the lips of Sarah Palin, Marc Levin, any of the still-living Kardashians, the post-2011 Charlie Sheen and any of the plastic morons at Fox ‘News.’

Enough Irony to Fuel a Thousand White-Hot Suns

From the blog of The John:

When `saying it first` becomes more important than `getting it right`

Yes, that would be the same blog which, among others, refused to acknowledge any inaccuracy in the gay-male-blog meme of ‘trans activists hurt Dan Savage’s feewings in Vancouver’ even after the Canadian news outlet that had first inaccurately reported the incident acknowledged that it had inaccurately reported the incident.

  • According to a Jan. 23, 2012 post in the website of Canada’s Xtra, Dan Savage made an appearance in Vancouver, British Columbia on Jan. 21.

  • According to the aforementioned Jan. 23, 2012 post in the website of Canada’s Xtra, Dan Savage was glitterbombed before that event.

  • According to the aforementioned Jan. 23, 2012 post in the website of Canada’s Xtra, a “group of six activists, who named themselves The Homomilitia for the event, said they confronted Savage as he entered the theatre through a back-alley entrance.”

  • The apparent pre-Savage-event ‘press release’ from The Homomilitia, dated Jan. 21, does not indicate who all, if anyone, with The Homomilitia is trans-anything or anything-anything.

  • On Jan. 25, 2012, The John posted the following at AmericaBlog: “How the gays defined ‘Santorum.’

  • In the aforementioned Jan. 25, post, The John again reiterates the alleged Vancouver-centric facts underlying his Jan. 23 post.

  • In the comments section of the aforementioned Jan. 25, post, The John is called out on the lack of substantiation for the allegation that trans people were involved in the Vancouver event and responds by saying that that simply doesn’t matter: “Every attack until now has been done by trans people, and the attacks are happening because the trans community decided to demonize Dan and make him public enemy number one.  So, yes, if you are responsible for motivating the people who attacked him, and they’re doing it in your name, and the previous attacks were done by you, then yes you are responsible for putting a stop to it”

Trans people do indeed.

We never forget when Gay, Inc.,-defending elitists motivate others to lie about trans people and then justify the lying.

“I just couldn’t believe that someone would make up some things like that”

…says someone who quite possibly had never heard of Fox ‘News’ (or The John or The Bil or radphlegms either for that matter, but in this case it is Fox ‘News’ at fault.)

The lie:

In a Tuesday report, Fox News radio host Todd Starnes turned his daily outrage to allegations that students at Brooklet Elementary School had returned from the Thanksgiving holiday to find that the school’s administration had decided to “confiscate the Christmas cards” that teachers had posted outside classrooms.

The reality:

“The decision to move the poster had nothing, absolutely nothing, at all to do with any type of religious conversation that is going on in the county,” Martin explained.

The principal said that the Christmas card poster had been moved to a faculty work room in order to accommodate the privacy request of one teacher.

And now the school has been flooded with angry calls and emails because of the misreporting.

Said everyone at Fox ‘News’ in response to being proven to be liars yet again:

Benghazi! Benghazi! Palin! Benghazi! Benghazi! Obamacare! Socialism!  Website! Benghazi! Birth certificate! Benghazi! Missing white blonde girl! Benghazi! Benghazi! Benghazi!

I hereby assert that that last part is actually true.

I also am sending my resume to Fox ‘News.’

I should qualify for at least two rounds of interviews, no?
