Enough Irony to Fuel a Thousand White-Hot Suns

From the blog of The John:

When `saying it first` becomes more important than `getting it right`

Yes, that would be the same blog which, among others, refused to acknowledge any inaccuracy in the gay-male-blog meme of ‘trans activists hurt Dan Savage’s feewings in Vancouver’ even after the Canadian news outlet that had first inaccurately reported the incident acknowledged that it had inaccurately reported the incident.

  • According to a Jan. 23, 2012 post in the website of Canada’s Xtra, Dan Savage made an appearance in Vancouver, British Columbia on Jan. 21.

  • According to the aforementioned Jan. 23, 2012 post in the website of Canada’s Xtra, Dan Savage was glitterbombed before that event.

  • According to the aforementioned Jan. 23, 2012 post in the website of Canada’s Xtra, a “group of six activists, who named themselves The Homomilitia for the event, said they confronted Savage as he entered the theatre through a back-alley entrance.”

  • The apparent pre-Savage-event ‘press release’ from The Homomilitia, dated Jan. 21, does not indicate who all, if anyone, with The Homomilitia is trans-anything or anything-anything.

  • On Jan. 25, 2012, The John posted the following at AmericaBlog: “How the gays defined ‘Santorum.’

  • In the aforementioned Jan. 25, post, The John again reiterates the alleged Vancouver-centric facts underlying his Jan. 23 post.

  • In the comments section of the aforementioned Jan. 25, post, The John is called out on the lack of substantiation for the allegation that trans people were involved in the Vancouver event and responds by saying that that simply doesn’t matter: “Every attack until now has been done by trans people, and the attacks are happening because the trans community decided to demonize Dan and make him public enemy number one.  So, yes, if you are responsible for motivating the people who attacked him, and they’re doing it in your name, and the previous attacks were done by you, then yes you are responsible for putting a stop to it”

Remember?

Trans people do indeed.

We never forget when Gay, Inc.,-defending elitists motivate others to lie about trans people and then justify the lying.

The ‘Force Marcus Bachmann to Get a Non-Fraudulent Job’ Act of 2014

While I doubt that Minnesota State Rep. Karen Clark will call it that…

Clark plans to introduce a bill that would make Minnesota the third state to ban the discredited and dangerous practice of “ex-gay” therapy, which falsely claims to change patients from gay to straight.

To draft the bill, Clark enlisted the help of Alec Fischer, a sophomore at the University of Minnesota who launched a Change.org petition asking lawmakers to protect children from damaging and fraudulent sexual orientation change efforts (also known as “ex-gay” therapy and “conversion” therapy).

Perhaps the most famous Minnesotan who’d be impacted if this proposed bill became law is Marcus Bachmann, the husband of U.S. Representative and former GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, whose clinic I exposed in July 2011 for offering “ex-gay” therapy in an undercover hidden-camera investigation.

…reality-based people should call it such nevertheless.

And while I rarely find it necessary to quote a website run by a character who has no problem being a scrivener for anti-trans group libel – and then refusing to acknowlege that the ‘facts’ underlying such stories are lies even when they are repeatedly demonstrated to be such – I will quote this, which is from someone who appeared not to be involved with propagating tales of the Vancouver Incident That Didn’t Actually Happen:

Let’s hope Minnesota lawmakers force Bachmann to get out of the gay “conversion” business for good and put the kibosh on this insidious form of child abuse.

“I just couldn’t believe that someone would make up some things like that”

…says someone who quite possibly had never heard of Fox ‘News’ (or The John or The Bil or radphlegms either for that matter, but in this case it is Fox ‘News’ at fault.)

The lie:

In a Tuesday report, Fox News radio host Todd Starnes turned his daily outrage to allegations that students at Brooklet Elementary School had returned from the Thanksgiving holiday to find that the school’s administration had decided to “confiscate the Christmas cards” that teachers had posted outside classrooms.

The reality:

“The decision to move the poster had nothing, absolutely nothing, at all to do with any type of religious conversation that is going on in the county,” Martin explained.

The principal said that the Christmas card poster had been moved to a faculty work room in order to accommodate the privacy request of one teacher.

And now the school has been flooded with angry calls and emails because of the misreporting.

Said everyone at Fox ‘News’ in response to being proven to be liars yet again:

Benghazi! Benghazi! Palin! Benghazi! Benghazi! Obamacare! Socialism!  Website! Benghazi! Birth certificate! Benghazi! Missing white blonde girl! Benghazi! Benghazi! Benghazi!

I hereby assert that that last part is actually true.

I also am sending my resume to Fox ‘News.’

I should qualify for at least two rounds of interviews, no?

Doesn’t He Ever Read The John, The Bil or The Joe?

Alec Baldwin ended his short-lived cable news career with a bang on Tuesday, slamming what he described as “fundamentalist” gay activists for the end of his MSNBC show.

Speaking to Gothamist, Baldwin was scathing:

I dispute half the comment I made… if I called him ‘c–ksucking maggot’ or a ‘c–ksucking motherf–ker’… ‘faggot’ is not the word that came out of my mouth. That I know. But you’ve got the fundamentalist wing of gay advocacy–Rich Ferraro and Andrew Sullivan–they’re out there, they’ve got you. Rich Ferraro, this is probably one of his greatest triumphs. They killed my show. And I have to take some responsibility for that myself.”

If he did, he’d know (1) that he’s never, ever, ever supposed to accept any – not even “some” – personal responsibility for anything, and (2) that the magic spell in Gay, Inc.-land – the one to absolve all sins – is to blame all that ails ya on ‘trans activists.’

Damn – I Thought Only Bilerico and AmericaBlog Could Get the Facts This Wrong

PFOX

So I stand corrected – thanks to Cristan Williams and TransAdvocate exposing yet another right-wing anti-trans (TERFs?  Do I smell TERFS too????) ‘incident involving the transgender’ that is more fake than that Jackalope-Chupacabra orgy that Porno Pete, Maggie the Maggot and Bam-Bam Barber are stocking up on hand lotion in anticipation of.

Republicans: They Put the Con(Artist) in Conservative

From PoliticsUSA:

An open mic and camera caught Rand Paul discussing shutdown strategy with Mitch McConnell. Paul admitted that Republicans don’t want to be there, and their only hope is to look reasonable.

Rand Paul admitted to the world the Republicans only hope of getting out of the government shutdown is if Democrats didn’t focus group test their talking points enough. It is nice to see Mitch McConnell confirm that there isn’t going to be a secret deal. Obama is telling Republicans privately the exact same thing that he is saying publicly. They are going to get nothing.

However, Republicans are saying something publicly that they don’t believe privately. Publicly, the Republicans are talking tough. Privately, they are desperate for a way out of the shutdown that allows them to claim some little symbolic or token victory.

Translated: The white, racist millionaires of the Republican party are fiddling while the ability of millions of Americans who actually work a living – having the audacity to do so for the federal government (and, lets not forget, Americans who have the temerity to run businesses that accept federal government employees as customers) – to pay their bills burns.

In lieu of buring those bills that can no longer be paid, they all should be forwarded to Closet Case McConnell and Rapist Rand.

My Problem With this is the Implication that the Transphobia in Question Had Ever in Any Way Been Buried
