From the Wisconsin Daily Independent:
I’m sure that you’ve all heard the story of Sweetcakes by Melissa, the Christian owned bakery that refused to bake a cake for a Lesbian couples’ wedding in February of 2013 and not only lost their business, but also was hit with fines in the amount of $135K.
That being said, why have we not heard that on June 24, 2015, a transgender woman by the name of Cris Tollefson was viciously attacked at LaCage Nightclub in Milwaukee, WI with a broken bar glass and left her face permanently scarred. A group of men attacked her for daring to ask for her seat back upon returning to her group of friends after visiting the restroom.
Security, while present, did nothing to intervene. The police were not called. The offenders were permitted to flee the scene, and the club owner did what any reasonable person would do. He offered to call an ambulance for her and provided a damp cloth to clean a wound requiring 28 stitches, meanwhile asking her to remain quiet about this heinous crime that had just occurred in his establishment.
Stated differently: The owner of a gay bar told a physically abused trans woman to let it go.
Just think of what would have happened to Tollefson if she’d demanded that the non-trans elite of Gay, Inc. treat her as an equal.
