More Kriminal Kops, et. al.

Lets face it…

The endgame is these badged, racist thugs scaring African-Americans away from the polls in November – and scaring Fox-seduced whites to the polls with the belief that the only racism is caused by blacks being too uppity.

Its their game – and they’re winning.

I hope Joe Solmonese is working on his “Jan. 20, 2017” speech – because what was left of the Obama Administration ended about a month ago, and ENDA has as much chance of becoming law before then as Tim Tebow does of leading the Seattle Seahawks to a 19-0 season this year.

Right now, we’re all just counting backward until just enough more white people are scared of Teh Black in 2016 than they were in 2012 so as to make the third time the charm for Mitt the Flip.

And if you’re not, you might as well be.

Mitch McConnell and John Boehner burned Congress on the evening of Jan. 20, 2009.

They – along with Ted Cruz and Darrell Issa – have been dumping more gasoline on the still-raging inferno whilst real people spend so much of their time and energy legitimately worrying about being tazed while sitting in a public place and worrying about whether any of their children will become the next Michael Brown that they can’t see that we no longer have a functioning government.

But white christianists have conned America into believing that the only real civil rights issues are Hobby Lobby’s ‘religious beliefs’ about contraception, business entities that are open to the public but who don’t want to be open to Teh Gay, and slaveowners’ descendants’ desire to never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever have to think about the ongoing consequences of their ancestors being so lazy and so unwilling to do their own heavy lifting that they spent more time, energy and resources in kidnapping millions of people from another continent than they ever would have if they’d gotten their own hands dirty and been willing to pay honest wages to non-slaves to build what came to be known as North America.

Forty-fife years ago (give or take a month) I sat in front of a television on a Sunday night and watched live images of a man walk on the moon – and did so while two wonderful people then in their 70s sat next to me and made sure that I watched, telling me that this was just the beginning of the future that lil’ ol’ four-year-old me would live to see.

What I’m seeing instead are the generations after mine convincing themselves that there is no racism because there’s a black president, believing that there is such as thing as a self-made son of a billionaire and watching Honey Boo Boo, Duck Dynasty and the Kardashians on an endless succession of new corporate-concocted elec-ta-ronic thingamajigs while trudging ever more quickly down the corridor to the Valley of Steel™ – a jointly-owned venture of Koch Industries and Bain Capital.
