Thank You Don Pardo!

Sadly, this is one of only a few still-extant episodes of the original Jeopardy! – which means it is one of the few places that one can hear Don Pardo introducing Art Fleming…

and Fleming’s ubiquitous “Thank You Don Pardo!”

The episode was from June of 1974 – around six months before that incarnation of Jeopardy! came to an end…

and around fifteen months before the first episode of Saturday Night Live.

In June of 1974, Pardo was 56.

He died Monday.

Do the math.
