Why Couldn’t the Houston Chronicle Mention that Judge Denise Pratt is a Republican?

From an article in the Chronk:

Following the immediate resignation late Friday of embattled family court judge Denise Pratt, the administrative judge for Harris County’s nine family district courts is asking lawyers to identify any cases they had languishing in her 311th Court.

In an email Monday morning to members of the Family Law Section of the Houston Bar Association, Judge David Farr also said he would ask local judges to help hear cases until Gov. Rick Perry appoints a replacement.

Pratt, who had been under investigation by the Harris County District Attorney’s office after dismissing hundreds of cases without notice, had been criticized by lawyers and families for not signing various types of court orders for months in apparent violation of judicial rules.

There’s more to it – including mention of the fact that Pratt is in a primary runoff.

You’d think that a mention of that would include a mention of which party’s runoff it is.

You’d think.

Maybe the Chronk mentions elsewhere that Pratt is a Republican.

But there’s no mention of it in this article.

Funny, eh?

No…

not really.
