Wanna Bet that if a Drunk Vandalizes the Wall Street Journal’s Offices, He’d Demand Prison Time (or the Death Penalty)?

From Media Matters:

Wall Street Journal editor James Taranto claimed that cases of “‘sexual assault’ on campus” that involve alcohol are really victimless crimes in which both parties are equally guilty.

Now, here’s Jimmy’s reasoning:

If two drunk drivers are in a collision, one doesn’t determine fault on the basis of demographic details such as each driver’s sex.

So, Jimmy, you’re in favor of legislation that would prevent insurance companies from basing their car insurance rates – before and/or after such a collision – on “demographic details,” eh?

And you’d be in favor of aggressive investigations into whether or not cops actually do make decisions as to who to arrest or not arrest – or just pull over – based on “demographic details”…

such as race?

How enlightened of you!

I”m sure that the New Jersey State Patrol – or, rather, its victims – will be happy to hear about your point of view.
