From Queer Channel Media:
Delaware Gov. Jack Markell told the Washington Blade on Friday the push to extend marriage rights to same-sex couples in his state is about “having a sense of what’s right.”
“It’s also about having a sense of what’s in the best interest of our state,” he said as he discussed the impact he said nuptials for gays and lesbians would have on Delaware’s economy.
Apparently, in Markell’s eyes, allowing married (as well as unmarried) LGBs in Delaware to continue to have the special right to discriminate against trans people is also “in the best interest” of Delaware.
