Looking at the photo in Remembering Rita Hester? I’d say I’m looking at a woman.
Personally, I regard being called an “effeminate man” as… “fighting words”. The sexism implicit in reserving a special term for feminine males, whether they are trans women or not, leaves me appalled… Epperly complains about “the thought police”, even as he actively polices others’ presentation by employing the language of contempt embedded in the pathetic connotations of the word “effeminate”.

PS: … sadly, I am sometimes complimented on my “balls”, for dancing as myself, etc., etc.; I often share with these folks that a more appropriate term for what they are seeing is guts.
